I of course, needed a girls night. Of course. One of my friends needed one much more than I did, so I decided to throw an 'emergency girls night' together, which, I was completely lucky that another friend was willing to let us take over her dining room (thanks!!). I felt that we all deserved a good drink as well, something sweet, alcoholic, and easy to make. So what did we decide?? Sangrias!! Did you know how delicious those things are?! We definitely did them without even having directions, I mean, I of course looked a few up to at least have the basics, but those are the easiest things to make! The general ingredient was red wine- which I'm not a fan of, so I found cheap strawberry wine, as well as half a bottle of moscato :)
I have the WORST sweet tooth EVER.
Anyway, this was DELICIOUS. want the recipe?? :)
-Strawberry wine
-Moscato (white) wine
-strawberries
-blueberries
-strawberry-kiwi juice
slice up the fruit, put in ALL the strawberry wine, half the moscato and a quarter to 3/4 of the juice into a pitcher, put in the berries, and add some ice. VOILA!! That's it!! Simple, isn't it??
Now, here's the interesting part, one of my friends is currently pregnant, and doesn't like to take the chance on drinking alcohol (I'm so proud of her!! lol) soo we made a pregga-ria (yea, totally just made that up now) SO in case you'd like to know what is in that, heres the virgin version::
-strawberry-kiwi juice
-carbonated strawberry-kiwi water
-blueberries
-strawberries
pour half and half of the juice and water, smash up the blueberries, and put them into the drink, with sliced up strawberries.
Smashing the blueberries gets the juices into the mix. It's delicious, I promise!!

It was taken with a camera phone, hence it being blurry. The middle one was the 'virgin' version, the two outer were the alcoholic- we put blueberries in the virgin one to be able to tell the difference between the two.
You know what makes this better?? Get a little cup of sugar, then dip in the wine-infused strawberries in, and enjoy!!
Isn't this fantastic?! It's so fun to just make up your own, and all those red wine directions? You don't need to follow them! Be creative! It's so much more fun when you make it up on your own, and especially when you have your friends being creative with you- it definitely made for a simple and fun girls night :)
Now, in case any of you get any ideas, I'm NOT an alcoholic, but I do enjoy my wine. And with raising 2 kids, you can't blame me. I've had people tell me they're surprised I'm not an alcoholic. Interesting :)
Alright, so that's it for now, I have homework to do (blahh) and a half bottle of moscato left over from last night ;)
