Yeah yeah, I know it's been a while, but what you don't (or do) know is that I have been on vacation.
Yes, you read that correct: V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N
From what, you may ask? Well,
.....
I got nothing. I'd say kids, but they're passed out in bed right now. I'd tell you school, but I'm in the midst of finals. (YIKES!) I'd even mention my parents, but they, too, are here, on vacation with me. Maybe it's just a vacation from my house?? I mean, it's about the best reason I can think of.
Anyway, this is probably the best vacay I've had in a long time. Are you wondering where I am yet?? I'll give you a hint:
CALI!!!
was that a good hint? I am in california- the absolute furthest WEST I've ever been. EVER. And I am 25 years old. My kids are with me, they have been to california under the age of 6 and 10 days. I say that since my son is exactly 6 and 10 days old. AND lost his first tooth. What a cool vacation. He even got to spend his birthday on the road (we were in Illinois) So I mean, he's had the coolest- and longest- birthday ever. It's been 10 days (if you couldn't tell) since his birthday and we are STILL celebrating it. Lucky little shit lol. Could you imagine a 10 day long birthday? It'd be almost like heaven.. ish.. maybe? Ok, probably not, but getting free dessert after every meal is always a bonus in my book. (it's a bonus b/c he doesn't ever finish it, which means his momma does tehe)
So, this whole driving across the nation thing is pretty sweet, even when your next couple stops will be the grand canyon, las vegas and denver colorado. only naming a few, of course. And I'm using this to my advantage- eliminating the future homes I may have ever debating on moving to. Believe me, I've dropped a few considering the snakes, scorpions, and -the completely disgusting- cockroaches. GAHH!! So, these factors are playing into my choices, and I'm using it to my advantage as stated previously. Best damn choice I coulda made too. the 7 lane highway was a bit of a shaker also..until I was informed L.A has ELEVEN. sheesh. Couldn't imagine the traffic. NOO THANKYOUU.
Also, and unfortunately, the diet/workout/anything-remotely-healthy kick has come to a halt, about two weeks ago because of this vacation. While on one side it's understandable- I'm making up any damn reason I can to soften the weight gain blow to the gut, on the other, you'd think it'd be easier to follow the diet the closer we are to bigger cities, right?
NOPE!!
This shit is hard to follow up on!! Especially when your across the street from a starbucks. **weakness**
I need to fix this. Start choking down more water.. something. I need to get my bubble butt in gear.
Some exciting news:: I can cross off a goal on my bucketlist- I learned how to surf, and might I add, it was fantastic!! Now, while I never actually stood up on the board because my balance was completely thrown off, I managed to catch a wave, and kneel on the board. My 'teacher' even told me that I was impressive for a midlander (I'm from Ohio. We have no waves to catch on the great lakes. Just sayin.) Now, while this was a fun thing for me to do, I wouldn't mind boogyboarding :) this seems more exciting and just fits for another goal to add.
Ok, I need to get going. I have two finals to finish SOON or else I'll be taking these again, and I really don't want to. Ever.
